The Lawrence High softball team dropped a pair of games against Olathe South, 4-3 and 4-1, on Tuesday at LHS.

Lauren Massey, the junior pitched who took the loss in both games, went a combined 2-for-6 with two doubles at the plate. Massey has pitched every inning in every game this season for LHS.

“We have the confidence she can do it,” LHS coach Reenie Stogsdill said. “At the end of the season in regionals, she’ll have to in order for us to advance. I’ve been giving her lots of recovery time. She’s getting stronger.”

Lawrence High dropped to 2-8.

“I just think we need to realize that we can play with anyone and beat anyone on any given day,” Stogsdill said. “The girls are doing some good things. They just need to get hungry for some wins.”

The Lions will travel to Olathe North on Thursday.
