Army National Guard Pvt. Steven C. Johnson has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

The private is a 2007 graduate of Lawrence High School and the son of Steve and Cheryl Johnson, Lawrence.

Army National Guard Pvt. Ernest J. Bever and Army Pvt. Josh E. Christopherson have graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Bever is the son of Ernest Bever, Lawrence.

Christopherson is a 2005 graduate of Jefferson West High School and the son of Patty Payne, Meriden, and Mark Christopherson, McLouth.

Air Force Airmen Cameron C. Bennett, Brian E. Fish and Air Force Airman 1st Class Christopher G. Gemsky have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Bennett is a 2007 graduate of De Soto High School and the son of Judith Wheeller, De Soto.

Fish is a 2003 graduate of Basehor-Linwood High School and the son of Regina Fish, Tonganoxie.

Gemsky is a 2005 graduate of Shawnee Mission West High School and the son of Anita Gemsky, Overland Park, and Gavin Gemsky, De Soto.
