LHS soccer falls, 2-1
Manhattan ? The Lawrence High boys soccer team dropped its opener, 2-1, on Monday against Manhattan.
Gustavo Arroyo scored the lone goal for Lawrence.
Despite the loss, LHS coach Matt Anderson was pleased with the Lions’ showing.
“I told the kids, we’re a lot further along at this point than we were last year,” Anderson said. “After one game, we have a lot better understanding of where we need to be off the ball, overall form, how we work out of formations and being disciplined.”
Lawrence (0-1) will face Junction City today at home.
