KU awards last Kemper Award on Lawrence campus
Kansas University’s “surprise patrol” gave out its last 2009 Kemper Award on the Lawrence campus Tuesday to Leisha DeHart-Davis, associate professor of public administration.
Now in their 14th year, the Kemper Awards recognize outstanding teaching and advising.
In all, 20 professors will earn awards and $5,000 as part of the program, funded by the William T. Kemper Foundation and the KU Endowment Association.
In addition to 16 professors on the Lawrence campus, four professors at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., will be honored.
