Charges were dismissed Wednesday against a Perry Man who was accused by police of robbing a man on Nov. 12 in a Kansas University parking lot, prosecutors said.
KU police said the suspect and another man punched a 19-year-old in the face as he was walking to his car in a university parking lot near Allen Fieldhouse.
The victim, who is not a student, had his wallet stolen and was told by the suspects not to call police, officers said. The suspects left in a white Cadillac.
“The University of Kansas Office of Public Safety learned through further investigation that the alleged incident may not have occurred in the manner originally reported,” said Douglas County District Attorney Charles Branson, in a news release.

The dreadlocks guy shouldn't be to hard to find. How many white people in Douglas or Jefferson counties have dreadlocks? I bet not over one or two at the most.

there's a lot of guys in Douglas county with dreads. check the cooks at local bar & grills. I'm not saying any of them did it, but dreads are plentiful.
and when will those damned Kennedy's quit causing trouble in this country. I thought they were almost all dead.

Hmm, maybe people shouldn't be so quick to judge. The article now reads "Charges dismissed against Perry man in KU parking lot robbery case." Apparently dude's story didn't hold up, so obviously he was lying. Who the hell robs someone in the middle of a parking lot on campus where there could be witnesses anywhere? Tells the person to "not call the police," and drives away right in front of that person? That's just retarded. Sounds like a set-up to me. And where's the evidence? Am i missing something here? They just arrested the guy because somebody called in or went to police station and said they were robbed? What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Oh, i guess that was lost with all our other rights when they signed the patriot act.... nice.

i'm beginning to think that nobody in this town is actually ever a real victim. seems that so many crimes turn out to be self inflicted or just a flat out lie.
