Three people injured Thursday evening during a two-vehicle wreck west of Clinton Lake have all been released from the hospital, hospital officials said Friday.
Colton Johnson, 19, of rural Lawrence, was flown via helicopter ambulance to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., but he was treated and later released, hospital spokesman Bob Hallinan said.
Kimberly Sterba-Mills, 25, and David Mills, 25, both of Lawrence, who were traveling in another vehicle near the town of Clinton were taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital, where they also were treated and released, said Belinda Rehmer, an LMH spokeswoman.
Douglas County Undersheriff Steve Hornberger said a preliminary accident report indicates Johnson’s eastbound car drafted left of the center line on North 851 Diagonal Road. The maneuver caused a collision with a westbound pickup truck, driven by Sterba-Mills. It was reported at 5:40 p.m.
Sheriff’s officers are still investigating the wreck, Hornberger said.
