Kansas University’s homecoming committee has chosen a theme of “Peace. Love. Jayhawks.” for the celebration set from Oct. 3 to Oct. 10 this year.

The KU-Iowa State football game is Oct. 10.

In addition to the usual events this year, the committee plans to award the first Jennifer Alderdice Homecoming Award, honoring outstanding dedication, initiative, motivation, positive attitude and contributions to the KU community.

The award honors Alderdice, who recently left her position as assistant vice president of student programs in the KU Alumni Association.
