Douglas County commissioners will consider asking contractors to bid for a project to repave County Road 1057, from County Road 442 to Kansas Highway 10.

During their meeting this morning, commissioners plan to discuss the project and the potential for seeking bids. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. at the County Courthouse, 1100 Mass.

Also scheduled:

• Approve plans related to conducting the Ironman 70.3 Kansas, set for June 14 at Clinton State Park.

• Receive a presentation from leaders of county departments involved in property valuations and tax billing.

• Receive a presentation from leaders of the Department of Emergency Management about the department’s role and responsibilities.

• Conduct an executive session to consult with the county’s attorney on an undisclosed matter deemed privileged under the attorney-client relationship.
