A Douglas County District Court judge has set a trial date for a third suspect accused of firing gunshots in an East Lawrence neighborhood last month.

At the conclusion of a preliminary hearing Thursday, a judge ordered 19-year-old Samantha Schumock to stand trial on aggravated assault and criminal damage charges.

Schumock and two men, Andrew Hiesberger, 20, and William Hiesberger, 23, are accused of firing the shots around 2 a.m. on March 17 near 13th and New Jersey streets.

Schumock’s jury trial is scheduled for July 29. The Hiesbergers’ trial is scheduled to start on July 21.
