Driver injured in one-vehicle rollover

A Leavenworth County man was taken by air ambulance to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., after a rollover accident early Monday morning near his home, Undersheriff Ron Cranor said.

Michael Beaton was on Kansas Highway 32, also known as Linwood Road, when he lost control of the car he was driving, causing it to roll multiple times and throwing Beaton out of the car, Cranor said. No other cars were involved in the crash.

The accident happened at 2 a.m. Monday, just down the street from Beaton’s home, which is in southwest Leavenworth County, east of Interstate 70. Cranor said it had not been determined what caused Beaton, 50, to lose control of the car.

Information on Beaton’s condition was not available from the hospital Monday night.
