A 31-year-old Lawrence man was arrested on charges of aggravated battery Saturday morning after a fight at the Virginia Inn, 2903 W. Sixth St., police said.
The man and a 37-year-old woman from Sherman, Texas, were staying at the hotel Friday night when they had an argument, Lawrence Police Sgt. Ted Bordman said. Officers responded to the scene at 3:19 a.m. Saturday. The woman was injured in the fight but declined medical treatment.
Earlier that night, police had responded to a disturbance at the hotel that involved the same 31-year-old man and another man. Officers arrested the other man involved in that fight on a warrant.
