Marijuana possession leads to 3 arrests

? Police arrested three people on charges of marijuana possession Saturday afternoon, one of whom had an outstanding warrant for a burglary charge.

Tonganoxie police officer David Duvall said the department received a call that someone was thought to be smoking marijuana in the retail center parking lot on Stone Creek Drive in Tonganoxie.

Officers later found the vehicle, and it was stopped about 3:15 p.m. in the B&J Country Mart parking lot, U.S. Highway 24-40 and Ridge Street.

A 19-year-old Basehor man, 18-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man and 19-year-old Tonganoxie woman all were arrested on charges of drug possession. The Basehor man was wanted in Leavenworth County for the outstanding burglary warrant. The Basehor man was driving the vehicle, which police found was owned by the mother of the Tonganoxie woman.
