A Topeka man accused of raping a woman in Lawrence in January has entered a plea to a lesser charge in Douglas County District Court.

Randy Selsor entered a plea Friday to one count of attempted aggravated sexual battery.

The charge stems from an incident in late January, in which Selsor was accused of sexually assaulting a 22-year-old woman.

Police said Selsor and the victim were acquaintances.

Selsor is scheduled to be sentenced July 9.
