Three members of this year’s Lawrence High golf team fared well Monday in a Kansas Junior Golf Association, Northeast Section, event at Eagle Bend.

Alex Thompson fired a 72, the best score of the day in the 16-17 age division, and Jon Cohen tied for third with a 75. Spencer Scott shot a 74 to lead the 18 age division. Recent Baldwin High graduate Mason Dick shot a 78 to place third in the same division.

It was the first of four Northeast Section tournaments. The others: Monday, June 22, at Lake Shawnee Golf Course in Topeka; Thursday, June 25, at Alvamar public; Monday, June 29, at Western Hills Golf Course in Topeka.
