Catalog reveals KU basketball opponents

Oakland, Georgia State and Tennessee Tech have been listed as tentative Kansas University men’s basketball opponents in a 2009-10 season-ticket catalog sent to KU’s Williams Fund members.

The schedule released earlier this week listed “TBA” for KU’s three home opponents in the Hall of Fame Classic. The Hall at a later date will announce official opponents for KU, Memphis, Arkansas and Louisville.

Other items of interest in the season-ticket catalog involved ticket pricing.

KU this season will offer a “tiered plan” that will let Williams Fund members decide what they want to spend for the 21-game season-ticket package. Ticket prices will be based on seat location.

Season tickets for prime seats in Tier One of the fieldhouse will cost $1,255 (lower level and chairbacks); $1,155 in Tier Two (a majority of the seats); and $855 in Tier Three (upper corners). The seats will continue to be distributed through the Select a Seat program. All tickets last year cost $1,155 for 21 games.

Fans this year will be able to purchase up to six tickets. The price of single-game tickets will be scaled based on the opponent.

The brochure is available at kuathletics.com in the Williams Fund section.
