The Kansas Board of Regents is expected to announce details soon about the salary package for Kansas University’s new chancellor and who will lead the university until she takes over.
Outgoing Chancellor Robert Hemenway’s last day is June 30, and new Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little is scheduled to begin in her new position Aug. 15. Employees at KU Hospital and Medical Center have been informed that Barbara Atkinson, KU executive vice chancellor, will be named interim chancellor. Atkinson is the leader of the medical center.
Kip Peterson, a spokesman for the Kansas Board of Regents, said Tuesday that he did not know an exact time frame for when either decision would be announced.
