Kansas sophomore guard Tyshawn Taylor had a team-high 13 points and four assists, leading the U.S. men’s U-19 team to a 76-69 victory over Lithuania on Wednesday morning in Auckland, New Zealand.

Taylor made three shots in the final four minutes to help Team USA hold on.

“I played with a kind of chip on my shoulder because I didn’t play so good yesterday,” Taylor said, “so I just wanted to come out here and play a good game.”

Taylor finished 6-for-13 from the floor with four assists, two turnovers and one steal in 22 minutes. He was 0-for-1 from the three-point line and 1-for-2 from the free-throw line.

The U.S. (6-0) will face Canada on Friday in the quarterfinals.
