KU sets forum to discuss budget
Kansas University leaders will host a forum Wednesday to update the KU community on the school’s budget situation.
The event will begin at noon at Alderson Auditorium in the Kansas Union.
Interim Chancellor Barbara Atkinson is scheduled to provide an update after Gov. Mark Parkinson announced a new 2 percent budget cut for higher education last week.
The cuts amount to an estimated $2.77 million at KU’s Lawrence campus, and $2.24 million at the KU Medical Center.
