Kansas University officials are mourning the death of student Antonio Mateos.

Mateos, a junior from Lawrence, was found dead Saturday in Jefferson County.

He was majoring in business and earned honor roll distinction in fall 2007.

“The School of Business is saddened to learn of Antonio’s passing. He was committed to his studies while also working full time,” said William Fuerst, KU business dean. “We join everyone at KU in expressing our sincerest condolences to Antonio’s family and friends.”
