KU holding CLAS budget forum

Another budget town hall meeting is scheduled for Thursday at Kansas University — this one for students in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

At 3 p.m. Thursday in the Big 12 Room of the Kansas Union, students will have the opportunity to voice opinions and concerns on the budget cuts and the impact they will have on the college.

Joseph Steinmetz, dean of the college, and other officials are scheduled to attend.

Topics for the program, titled “Budget Cuts, Hiring Freezes and Changes to Your Academic Program,” include the state of the college, cuts and financial concerns and solutions for mitigation.
