Law enforcement report

According to Douglas County Jail records as of 9 p.m. Wednesday, inmate Candice Amyx was still not in custody after she failed to return on Christmas Day from a judge’s 12-hour release.

Sheriff’s officers on Monday said that Amyx was not considered dangerous. Amyx was booked into jail Sept. 3 and pleaded no contest to four charges of forgery and one charge of theft Sept. 29. She is scheduled to be sentenced 3 p.m. Jan. 12.
