Law enforcement report

Lawrence police arrested a Perry man accused of two counts of battery, one count of aggravated battery and theft.

Trevin Kennedy, 20, was charged after attempting to steal tea and other soft drinks from Hy-Vee, 4000 W. Sixth St. When confronted by an employee, Sgt. Richard Nickell said Kennedy bit the employee on the chest. Others came to the employee’s aid, resulting in the other battery charges.
