Newcomers join Kings

? Sacramento forward Andres Nocioni, acquired from Chicago in one of a flurry of trades the Kings made this week, was active along with three other newcomers for the team’s game against Dallas on Saturday night.

Ike Diogu, Cedric Simmons and Will Solomon were also in uniform against the Mavericks.

“We’re working to fit in the new guys and have them combine with the guys we already have,” Kings coach Kenny Natt said. “We’ll figure it out as we go.”

Drew Gooden, Michael Ruffin, Nocioni and Simmons were acquired in a deal Wednesday that sent Brad Miller and John Salmons to the Bulls. Sacramento then traded Ruffin to Portland for Diogu.

On Thursday, the Kings picked up Solomon from Toronto and sent two players to Minnesota for Rashad McCants and Calvin Booth.

While they were waiting on their new guys, the Kings had only eight players in uniform in their 115-106 victory over Memphis on Friday.

Gooden, who hasn’t played in over a month because of a groin injury, McCants and Booth are expected to join the team today and could play Monday against New Orleans.
