A 40-year-old Topeka man was injured Monday morning in a one-vehicle rollover wreck north of Lawrence at Midland Junction.

According to a Kansas Highway Patrol report, Roy C. Vanderslice III missed the curve in his 2004 Chevrolet car at 7 a.m. while headed east on U.S. Highway 24-59.

The car went straight off the curve and apparently rolled once, according to the report. The car sustained heavy damage.

Vanderslice, who was not wearing his seat belt, was taken to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. He was still at the hospital on Wednesday, but because of the hospital’s patient privacy policy his condition status was not available, said Bob Hallinan, a hospital spokesman.
