A Lawrence man on Thursday pleaded no contest to charges of invading a couple’s home and pistol whipping a victim inside.

Travis Sharon, 22, entered the plea to charges of aggravated battery and aggravated intimidation of a witness.

Prosecutors said Sharon and an accomplice broke into a house in the 300 block of West 23rd Street on Aug. 25, demanded money from the couple, then beat a man who fought back.

A woman in the home said Sharon threatened her when she tried to call police.

Sharon is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 22.
