KU’s Warinner was a finalist for assistant award

Kansas University offensive coordinator Ed Warinner was named a finalist for the American Football Coaches Association’s National Assistant Coach of the Year, the university announced.

Warinner, who recently completed his fifth season at KU, was on of three finalists for the award, along with Duke defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre and eventual winner Tyrone Nix of Mississippi.

Probably will not get the award after the play calling in the last 4 minutes of the Border War.... did he have money on Mizzou?

jhawk2008ku - AFCA must be a bunch of ignorant people to think Warinner could be up for an award like this is crazy - right??.. Interesting.....

Where is Bowens AFCA award nomination??? Oh ya he did not get one because they SUCKED.
