Six more professors honored with Kemper Awards

On Friday, six more Kansas University professors earned Kemper Awards, which honor outstanding teaching and advising.

The “surprise patrol” of KU leaders recognized the faculty members and gave them a $5,000 check supported by the William T. Kemper Foundation and KU Endowment.

Winners today include: John Hachmeister, associate professor of visual art; Stuart Day, associate professor of Spanish and Portuguese; Audrey Lamb, assistant professor of molecular biosciences; Cynthia Berrie, associate professor of chemistry; Sandra Gray, associate professor of anthropology; and Susan Stagg-Williams, associate professor of chemical and petroleum engineering.

In all, 20 professors will be honored, and presentations will continue on the Lawrence campus through Sept. 2.
