An outdoor concert at Kansas University featuring the band Passion Pit has been moved indoors to the Lied Center because of weather concerns.

The event will begin at 9 p.m. and is scheduled to last until 10:30 tonight.

It is a free event as part of KU’s Hawk Week celebration, which is designed to welcome students back for a new school year.

Andy, can you go if you're no longer a student? I've seen from other sources it's for students faculty and staff only, please if anyone can let me know if local alumni or community members can come in?

I just checked this, and, though the event is designed for students, it is free, and anyone may attend, according to Todd Cohen, a university spokesman.

By the way, not that I terribly mind answering questions in a comments thread, but I only check them very sporadically. You're much more likely to get a speedy reply by e-mail (ahyland@ljworld.com) or by phone (785-832-6388).

Thanks for the question — had I known the answer then, I likely would have included it in the original story.
