Fair highlights
Today
• Beef show, 8 a.m., community building.
• Petting zoo, 1 p.m.-10 p.m., Building 10.
• Pony rides, 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Building 10.
• Round robin showmanship classic final, 5 p.m., judging arena and community building. It’s where the champions in sheep, dairy, swine and beef compete against one another and have to show all four animals.
• Bale throwing contest, 6 p.m., blacktop area. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and anyone can enter.
• Concert by Sierra Band, 7 p.m.-10 p.m., blacktop area.
• Moore’s Greater Shows Carnival, 6 p.m.-midnight.
• Demolition derby, 7:30 p.m., rodeo arena. Tickets cost $10 for everyone.
Saturday
• Bucket calf show, 8:30 a.m., community building.
• Turtle race, 9 a.m., stage on blacktop area. The race is open to anyone.
• Petting zoo and pony rides, 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Building 10.
• Moore’s Greater Shows Carnival, 1 p.m.-5 p.m. It’s family day, and bracelets will be sold for unlimited riding. Also, open 5 p.m.-11 p.m.
• Pedal tractor pull, 1 p.m., blacktop area. Preregistration begins at 12:30 p.m. Open to children ages 4-12.
• Barnyard Olympics, 1 p.m., old judging arena.
• Awards ceremony, 5 p.m. blacktop area. 4-H’ers recognized for exemplary leadership skills.
• 4-H Livestock Auction, 6:30 p.m., community building.
• Concert by Rural Route 4, 7 p.m.-10 p.m., blacktop area.
• Renegade mini-tractor pull, 7 p.m., rodeo arena.
