• A person was transported Thursday evening to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after being struck in a car-pedestrian accident. The car was traveling east on 23rd Street when it hit a pedestrian crossing 23rd near Kentucky Street. The pedestrian was being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries Thursday evening, according to Lawrence police.
• A 42-year-old Lawrence man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault Thursday morning. Police made the arrest at 10:35 a.m. at the suspect’s home.
• A 37-year-old Lawrence man was arrested early Thursday on charges of aggravated assault, criminal use of a club or knife and criminal trespassing. The man was arrested at 2:19 a.m. in the 900 block of Vermont Street and booked on a $6,000 bond.
• Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical responded Thursday morning to a single-vehicle accident with possible injuries east of Eudora. A 46-year-old De Soto woman was transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center after losing control of her car and driving into a ditch. The accident happened at 1:47 a.m. near the intersection of North 1400 Road and East 2350 Road.
