• The Leavenworth County Attorney’s Office has filed drug charges against a rural Tonganoxie man. Kenneth Blair, 38, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. The county attorney’s office said the case is still under investigation. Blair was placed in custody after a call was made to the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office about a possible shooting that occurred around 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Blair’s home in the 18400 block of 178th Street. Blair was arrested after a 34-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man told officers that he had gotten into an altercation with Blair and was shot at while he was leaving Blair’s residence, according to Leavenworth County Undersheriff Ron Cranor.

• A 37-year-old Lawrence man reported a burglary and theft Monday morning in the 400 block of Maple Street. He reported that somebody stole a Honda gas generator and welding station about 5 p.m. Friday, according to a police report. A door frame and locks were also damaged in the incident. Total loss was valued at $2,600.
