European events topic of lecture
Padraic Kenney, professor of history at Indiana University, is scheduled to give this year’s Oswald Backus Memorial Lecture at Kansas University.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at the Malott Room in the Kansas Union.
Kenney wrote “A Carnival of Revolution: Central Europe 1989,” which is based on firsthand observations as a graduate student in Poland in 1986 and 1989, along with other interviews and other research focusing on many parts of central Europe. The event is free and open to the public.
