This year’s $60,000 donation to the United Way from proceeds from the annual Rock Chalk Revue set an all-time record, the show’s executive producer said Friday.

The donation was $8,000 more than the previous record set in 2002, and was up from the $38,000 donated in 2008, said Kevin Campbell, the executive producer.

He credited first-time corporate sponsor Russell Stover Candies, which made a $10,000 donation, with helping to set the record.

Rock Chalk Revue is an annual fundraiser, involving the presentation of musical variety shows from fraternities and sororities at Kansas University. This year’s show involved more than 2,000 students.
