Talib, Gordon notch INT’s

Former Kansas University football defensive standouts Aqib Talib and Charles Gordon both intercepted passes during NFL games Sunday.

Talib, a 2008 first-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, picked off Atlanta rookie quarterback Matt Ryan in the first quarter and returned it two yards. It was the first interception of Talib’s NFL career. The Bucs ended up defeating the Falcons, 24-9, in Tampa, Fla.

Gordon, a cornerback for Minnesota, made his second career NFL interception Sunday. Gordon picked off Indianapolis’ Peyton Manning. The Colts beat the Vikings, 18-15, in Minneapolis.
