KU Med Center receives $1.25 million grant to encourage young scientists
The National Institutes of Health has awarded the Kansas University Medical Center a $1.25 million grant.
The five-year grant will fund educational programs that pair researchers, schools and other community organizations.
The grant is awarded to promote collaboration among scientists, educators and community organizations in an effort to improve public understanding of medical research and to encourage young people to pursue careers in science.
