LHS soccer falls, 1-0
Olathe ? Lawrence High’s soccer season ended with a 1-0 regulation loss Monday to Olathe Northwest in the first round of regional play.
O-Northwest scored the only goal midway through the second half.
The Lions’ best chance to tie came when they hit the post as time ran out.
“I think we made some great strides in the program,” LHS coach Matt Anderson said. “We had several games that could have gone either way. We had five one-goal losses in a row. We made some strides in goals for and goals against. Of course, we would have liked to see more wins.”
Anderson cited Jake Pfannenstiel, for his pressure on the defensive back line, and Matthias Reiber for his strong play.
The Lions ended with a 4-12-1 record.
