KU residence halls to open Sunday for trick-or-treating

Members of the public can trick-or-treat in Kansas University residence halls from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, and activities, including face painting and cookie decorating, are planned. Each hall will provide a list of participating students, who will have Halloween door decorations and will prop their residence hall doors open.

Some of the halls will have themes for the event: Gertrude Sellards Pearson and Corbin plan to have a fairy theme; McCollum Hall plans a Candy Land theme; and Lewis and Templin halls plan a Harry Potter theme.

Five KU residence halls are on Daisy Hill at Iowa Street and Engel Road: Ellsworth, Hashinger, Lewis, McCollum and Templin. Two halls are at 11th and Indiana streets: Gertrude Sellards Pearson and Corbin. Oliver Hall is at 19th Street and Naismith Drive.
