Douglas County Commissioners Monday morning unanimously supported changes to the county’s sanitary code.

After a public hearing last week, commissioners waited until Monday to vote to give one more chance for public comment, but they received none.

The Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department wrote the changes after the county reworked its subdivision regulations and so the county would comply with Kansas Department of Health and Environment regulations on approving design and construction of septic tanks.

No meeting is scheduled for Wednesday.
