Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 45-year-old Leawood man reported two 35 millimeter camera lenses were among several items stolen from a vehicle Sept. 9 in the 1300 section of East 902 Road. The estimated loss is $7,208. Other items were not listed in the police report.

¢ A 52-year-old Leawood woman reported a separate auto burglary on Sept. 9 in the 1300 section of East 902 Road. She reported a vinyl handbag among several items stolen. The estimated loss is $1,326.

¢ A 23-year-old Lawrence woman reported a 2005 blue Chevy Cobalt valued at $1,782 was stolen between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday in the 1800 block of New Hampshire Street.

¢ A 56-year-old Lawrence man reported several tools were stolen between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Tall Grass Drive. Items reported stolen include a DeWalt drill, circular saw and wrenches. The estimated loss is $2,335.

¢ A 58-year-old Lawrence man reported a Ruger rifle and adjustable scope were stolen Thursday in the 100 block of Lawrence Avenue. The estimated loss is $1,175.

Injury accidents

¢ A man was transported to a Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., via air ambulance Friday night following a motorcycle and pedestrian accident in the 2300 block of Iowa Street. The accident occurred about 10 p.m. The victim was the pedestrian and had life-threatening injuries. Further details were unavailable Friday night.

¢ A 16-year-old Lecompton boy was transferred to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Friday following a single-car accident on U.S. Highway 40 near East 700 Road in Douglas County. The boy was in a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report. The vehicle was driving south on the highway at approximately 3:50 p.m., lost control, entered a ditch and struck a culvert. The extent of the boy’s injuries was not available Friday.
