Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A Salb Construction employee reported drywall was criminally damaged Tuesday in the 3000 block of Harper Street. The damage estimate is $1,000.

¢ An 18-year-old Lawrence man reported an Xbox 360 game console and games and a Samsung cell phone were stolen Sunday in the 1800 block of Miller Drive. The estimated loss is $1,200.

¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported a 2002 Aprilia motorbike valued at $2,000 was stolen between Oct. 1 and Tuesday in the 1000 block of Alabama Street.

Injury Accidents

¢ A 44-year-old Lawrence man was flown to Kansas University Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. by air ambulance following a single-car accident Thursday on Kansas Highway 10.

According to Lt. Kari Wempe, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, about 5:10 p.m. David Teska was driving a 1999 Toyota car west on the highway near mile marker 8.5 just east of County Road 1057. Teska drove off the north shoulder and attempted to correct, but overcorrected and drove into a ditch. The driver’s side of the car hit a tree, Wempe said. Teska had nonlife-threatening injuries, Wempe said.
