Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence Police are working to determine how a man obtained a false Social Security card and number, said Sgt. Bill Cory.

Officers said the 36-year-old man was trying to open an account with a fraudulent Social Security number around 2 p.m. Friday at Douglas County Bank, 3101 Iowa. Cory said the suspect was cooperative with officers.

¢ Emergency crews from Eudora and Lawrence-Douglas County Fire & Medical responded Wednesday afternoon to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Kansas Highway 10 near Douglas County Road 1057, east of Lawrence. A person was transported by air ambulance to a Kansas City-area hospital.

Further details were unavailable Wednesday night.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 37-year-old Lawrence man reported an auto burglary and theft to Lawrence police Tuesday. He reported the driver’s side window, door and tires of a 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck were damaged between Monday night and Tuesday morning in the 1900 block of West 31st Street. Items reported stolen include a Sony CD-MP3 stereo, 600 watt amplifier and two subwoofers. The estimated loss is $3,125.

¢ A 37-year-old Lawrence woman reported a Kona Hahanna mountain bike and an Electra Townie cruiser bike were stolen Tuesday in the 800 block of Alabama Street. The estimated loss is $1,450.
