Law enforcement report

¢ A 49-year-old Lawrence man was charged with felony aggravated assault in Douglas County District Court on Thursday afternoon, after police said he allegedly pointed a shotgun at a 42-year-old woman.

Stanley Schneck was arrested at his home in the 1900 block of West 31st Street.

Police said there was a verbal argument between Schneck and the victim, who also lives at the home, around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. No shots were fired. Schneck was suspected of using alcohol at the time of the incident, a police report said.

His bond was set at $10,000 during his first appearance in court, and he was ordered to have no contact with the victim and not to return to the home, a spokeswoman for District Attorney Charles Branson said. Schneck is scheduled to return to court, in front of Judge Michael Malone, at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Branson’s office said.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 22-year-old Lawrence man reported an Apple laptop computer, bedroom wall and passenger side of a black Lincoln Continental were criminally damaged Saturday in the 100 block of West 15th Street. The estimated loss is $4,200.

¢ A 29-year-old Lawrence woman reported $1,200 in U.S. currency was stolen Sept. 13 in the 1800 block of West 23rd Street.
