Lawrence police took two juvenile suspects into custody after several vehicles sustained damage Friday night in southern Lawrence.

Sgt. Mark Warren, a police spokesman, said at least three vehicles in the parking lot of Cottonwood Inc., 2801 W. 31st St., also had fire damage. Lawrence Douglas County Fire and Medical workers, including a fire investigator, were called to the scene about 8 p.m. No injuries were reported.

About 10 vehicles suffered damage in the parking lots of Cottonwood and South Wind 12 Theatres, 3433 Iowa, Warren said. Police believe the damage at both locations were connected.

Warren said at least one of the vehicles that caught fire sustained extensive interior damage. Police were also still investigating the incident Friday night.
