The chairman of the department of design in Kansas University’s School of Fine Arts is resigning his post to take a new position within the university.

Greg Thomas will become the coordinator of development for the newly created KU School of Architecture, Design and Planning, according to a news release. He will leave his current position and begin his new one July 1.

As the school’s coordinator of development, Thomas will develop external business connections and industrial partnerships, plan and fund strategies for facility and equipment needs, and create new revenue streams.
