Law enforcement report

¢ A small amount of mercury from mercury-containing devices was improperly disposed of Tuesday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. A hospital official said the mess was cleaned and cleared by Wednesday night. Thursday the regional Environmental Protection Agency was on site to clear the incident.

Burglaries and thefts reported

¢ A 69-year-old Lawrence woman reported a 2004 Nissan Altima was criminally damaged in the 3200 block of Iowa Street Thursday. Estimated loss is $1,000.

¢ An employee from Chaney Inc., 930 E. 27th St., reported damage to the business door Thursday. The damage estimate is $1,000.

¢ A 35-year-old Lawrence woman reported several fuses and relays were stolen from a black Dodge Durango. A wiring harness and gas tank were reported damaged on the vehicle. The incident occurred in the 3800 block of Greenway Drive Wednesday. The estimated loss is $1,598.
