Law Enforcement Report
¢ Lawrence police arrested a 45-year-old Lawrence man near 14th and Vermont streets Monday evening after witnesses said he walked into their house, stole some beer and walked out, said Sgt. Damon Thomas, a police spokesman.
Thomas said witnesses accuse the suspect of walking into an unsecured residence while they were inside about 5 p.m., grabbing the beer and leaving. The people inside did not know the man, and they described him to police, who later arrested him, Thomas said. The man was booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges of aggravated burglary and theft less than $1,000.

What a dumb A** this guy would be shot right now if he had walked into my house. Is it worth a beer? My growler has a three dollar deposit...

Guess its not important to the paper to post other break-ins. Like how on Sat. nite someone broke into my home to cut the copper pipes and left water spraying all over the place destroying my home before I even moved into it.
