Lawrence resident publishes story collection on faith

Lawrence grandmother Pat Kirk has compiled 21 stories from people who have felt God’s presence and put them together in “One Touch from the Maker.”

The self-published work chronicles stories from people with as diverse backgrounds as professionals, farmers, military personnel and a Messianic Jew. The stories’ writers represent all corners of the United States, from California to Florida, Maryland to Washington.

Kirk says she believes these stories can help during trying times in everyday life.

“The times are dangerous and stressful. Traffic, crime, our jobs and illness sometimes make us wonder why we shouldn’t call in sick. For the rest of our lives,” Kirk says. “When life feels like one day too many, we can find the God of the universe walking among us.”

The book retails for $10.95 at amazon.com.
