LHS baseball finishes victory over O-South

? Tom Schuh pitched a complete-game shutout, and outfielder Tyler Bailey homered as Lawrence High finished off Olathe South, 3-0, in Sunflower League baseball on Friday.

The game was suspended after the third inning Thursday night because of weather, the Lions leading 1-0.

Schuh threw 16 pitches before the delay and picked up right where he left off.

“Tommy had another great outing,” LHS coach Brad Stoll said. “We threw him back out there tonight, and he had great tempo.”

Bailey’s home run was “an absolute monster blast,” Stoll said.

The Lions improved to 7-7 and will travel to Warrensburg, Mo., today to face Eureka (Mo.) High at Central Missouri State University.

“We had great rhythm defensively and on the mound, so it was good to put those two pieces together,” Stoll said. “Hopefully that gets us back on the winning track, because there’s only a week left in the season.”
