MCPHERSON ? Lawrence High’s soccer team outshot Newton by a wide margin en route to a 3-0 victory Tuesday at the McPherson Invitational.

Madison Bertrand, Becky Davis and Kathleen Hermesch scored for the Lions, who had 26 shots on goal. Newton had just one shot.

Regan Keller and Megan Andrews registered assists on LHS’s second and third goals, respectively.

The Lions (1-0) will return to McPherson on Friday. The opponent is yet to be determined.
