Law enforcement report

¢ Lawrence police seized a gun they saw early Sunday in a vehicle parked outside Club Axis, a nightclub at 821 Iowa. The owner of the gun, a 21-year-old Fort Leavenworth man, was given a citation for violating a city ordinance that prohibits weapons within 200 feet of a club.

¢ A 24-year-old Lawrence man told Lawrence police that someone damaged a window on his vehicle when it was parked in the 4000 block of West Clinton Place. The vandalism occurred between 5 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Sunday. Damage was listed at $1,000.

Injury accidents

¢ A Tonganoxie man was transported Saturday to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a rollover accident on U.S. Highway 24-40, according to a Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office report. About 3 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a residence on Chieftain Road, where Steven D. Hale, 34, of Tonganoxie, had walked following an accident on U.S. 24-40, the report said. The vehicle Hale had been driving was on the highway when it left the roadway at Hemphill Road, struck a reflective marking post and rolled over, the report said. Hale was transported to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
